Dayne Baird is a Managing Director with Carlyle’s U.S. Buyout fund, focusing on buyouts, privatizations, and strategic minority investments throughout the United States in the aerospace, defense, and government services sectors. He is based in Washington, D.C.
Since joining Carlyle, Baird has been actively involved with Carlyle’s investments in ARINC Incorporated, Booz Allen Hamilton, CNSI, and Landmark Aviation (both the original creation of Landmark Aviation in 2004 and the subsequent reinvestment in 2012), Novetta, Two Six Technologies, and Wesco Aircraft Holdings. Baird is currently a member of the Board of Directors of CNSI and Two Six Technologies.
Prior to joining Carlyle in 2003, Baird worked in the M&A and Global Industrial groups of Lehman Brothers, where he focused on transactions in the industrial, aerospace, and defense sectors. Baird received his MBA from Georgetown University, where he was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, and a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Brigham Young University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
