Laura Bernardini is a seasoned media professional with over 27 years of experience at CNN, currently serving as Vice President of News and Head of Global Planning. Previously, Laura led national newsgathering and breaking news coverage, collaborating across domestic bureaus and managing a team of journalists. Throughout an extensive career at CNN, Laura has held various positions including Director of Coverage and Senior Producer, earning recognition for excellence in election coverage with multiple Peabody Awards. Laura's academic background includes an Executive Masters in Leadership from Georgetown University and ongoing studies in the Diversity and Inclusion Program at Cornell University. Additionally, Laura holds a BA in English from the University of Vermont. Prior to CNN, Laura worked as a Writer and Researcher for World Affairs Television Productions.
