Virgilio Abranches is the Vice-president of Journalism, Content, and Operations at CNN Brasil. Prior to their current position, Virgilio served as the Director of Programs at Rede Record, overseeing the general direction of various TV programs. Virgilio also worked as a writer and reporter at Folha de S.Paulo and as a producer at EPTV. Abranches holds a degree in Journalism from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas.
