Margaret Sparling currently serves as an Associate Research Analyst at CNA Corporation since May 2023. Prior to this role, Margaret gained valuable experience as a Research Intern at the University of Virginia Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy from January 2024 to May 2024, and as Head Graduate Teaching Assistant during the same period. Additional experience includes positions as a Research Assistant at the National Security Policy Center from March 2022 to May 2023, NSIN X-Force Fellow at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division in the summer of 2022, and an intern at the National Counterintelligence and Security Center from September 2021 to May 2022. Earlier roles include NSIN I4D Team Lead at U.S. Cyber Command, Programs Intern at Women's Foreign Policy Group, and Sales Associate at J.Crew. Margaret has also worked as a Parish Receptionist for the Catholic Diocese of Arlington from 2015 to 2019. Margaret holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Virginia Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy (2022-2024) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from the University of Virginia (2019-2023).
