Douglas Straus has extensive experience in the energy and mechanical design sectors, currently serving as a Business Development and Mechanical Design professional at CMTA, Inc. since October 2022, where responsibilities include assisting customers in addressing energy and comfort issues to achieve sustainability objectives. Prior to this role, Douglas served as a Sales Engineer and Account Manager at G&R Controls, focusing on HVAC solutions, and as a Performance Assurance Specialist at Johnson Controls, where energy usage modeling was a key responsibility. Earlier in the career, Douglas worked at Xcel Energy as a Major Account Engineer and Sales Manager for the Dakotas, providing energy consultation to clients. Douglas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Dakota State University.
