Mimi Iklé-Khalsa served as Chair of CMC’s Board of Directors from 2012 through September 2021, and as a Director since 2008. When her mother, energy pioneer Doris Iklé, asked her to take over the business in 2012, Mimi was intent on carrying on her mother’s commitment to energy efficiency and successfully transitioning the company to the next generation.
After a number of strategic investments, the company grew from a regional company to one of the country’s largest women-owned energy businesses with offices in seven states employing nearly 300 employees. Under Mimi’s leadership, the Board recently adopted a five-year strategic plan that will move the company into new services and new territories, and position the company for future growth.
A graduate of the University of Maryland, Mimi has spent her adult life devoted to understanding how best to support people on their journey toward health and balance. She has successfully applied these principles of holistic well-being to the corporate world. She is continually supportive of and available to the Board of Directors and senior leadership team.
