Brechtje van Houtum has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Brechtje started their career in 2008 as a Waitress at Het Betoverde Bos, where they worked until 2013. Brechtje then interned as a Stagiaire Brabant Branding at Provincie Noord-Brabant in 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Medewerker SEO at Zoover Media BV for a few months.
In 2015, Brechtje joined Artefact Benelux, initially as a Content Marketing Consultant and later transitioned to become an SEO Consultant. Brechtje worked on diverse e-commerce and retail clients, contributing to their SEO strategies, content strategies, and specific projects. Brechtje'sfocus was always data-driven and result-oriented, with a keen emphasis on people. Brechtje held the role of SEO Consultant until 2019 when they became a Senior SEO Consultant at the same company. Brechtje continued in this position until 2021.
Most recently, in 2021, Brechtje joined CM.com as a Copywriter and SEO specialist. In this role, they were responsible for content strategy, planning, and execution for all CM.com SaaS products, including chatbots, customer service software, and marketing campaign tooling. Brechtje'stenure at CM.com is still ongoing.
Brechtje van Houtum has a diverse education history. In 2014 to 2015, they attended Tilburg University and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Bedrijfscommunicatie en Digitale Media. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2014, they studied at Radboud University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Bedrijfscommunicatie/Communicatie & Informatiewetenschappen. In 2013, they briefly attended the University of Hertfordshire for their undergraduate studies in Communication and Media Studies.
Before their university studies, Brechtje attended 2College Durendael from 2004 to 2010, where they completed their VWO degree.
In addition to their formal education, Brechtje also has obtained several certifications. In April 2022, they received the Professional Scrum Product Ownerâ„¢ I (PSPO I) certification from Scrum.org. In May 2016, they earned a certification in Mobile Advertising from Google, and in March 2016, they acquired the AdWords Fundamentals certification from Google AdWords Certified.
