Stuart Hunter is an experienced sailing instructor and charter skipper at Club Nautique since June 2009, specializing in training adult students to operate sailboats on San Francisco Bay and offshore, while also evaluating their skills for US Sailing qualifications. Prior to this role, Stuart served as the Managing Director of Stuart Hunter Insurance from January 2008 to June 2009, focusing on marine insurance brokerage. From September 2001 to December 2007, Stuart was a District Manager and sole proprietor with Farmers Insurance Group, managing operations with a team. Early career experience includes working as a stock broker with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and serving in the U.S. Navy as a Commander (Surface Warfare) with teaching responsibilities at a Nuclear Power Training Unit. Stuart holds an MBA in International Business from Golden Gate University and a BA in Biology from Cornell College.
