Nick Higham

Third Party Management Office (interim) at CLS Group

Nick Higham has over 18 years of work experience in various roles and industries. From 2003 to 2007, they worked as a Senior Technology Programme Manager at the Ministry of Defence, where they were responsible for managing complex technology development and transition programs. Nick then joined the Royal Air Force as a Senior Engineer and Operations Manager, overseeing maintenance and engineering operations for the fleet of Nimrod MR2 aircraft. In 2008, they transitioned to Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) as a Senior Programme Manager, focusing on engineering, acquisition, and supply chain of aircraft and weapon systems programs. During their time there, they developed supply chain support solutions and managed technology acquisition. From 2010 to 2012, Higham served as an Exchange Officer within the French Ecole Militaire, supporting the developing Defence Treaty between the UK and France. Nick then joined the Armée de l'air (French Air Force) as part of the UK-French Defence and Security Treaty, where they brought coherence, governance, and robust portfolio management to collaborative efforts between the two countries. In 2015, Higham joined BNY Mellon as the Head of Global Supply Chain Operations and Source to Pay Technology, responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, vendor governance, and risk management on a global scale. In 2022, they joined Santander UK as the Head of Third Party Risk Management, leading a transformation program and implementing effective risk management frameworks for the highly regulated bank. Currently, Higham is working as the Third Party Management Office (Interim) at CLS Group.

Nick Higham completed their education at various institutions. In 2014, they earned a Level 8 Certificate in Strategic Direction and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute. Previously, in 2008, they obtained a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership from the same institute. During the period of 2002 to 2003, Higham pursued an MSc in Software Engineering at the University of York. Additionally, they hold a BEng in Electronic Systems Engineering from Cranfield University, although the specific dates of this degree are not provided.
