Emese Ban has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Emese currently works as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at CloudNC since January 2021. Prior to that, Emese worked at WorldFirst from 2014 to 2021, where they held several positions including Technical Principal - Platform and Architecture, Platform Engineering Tribe Lead, Software Development Manager, and Software Development Team Lead. Before joining WorldFirst, Emese worked at FusePump Ltd as a Production Manager and Lead Developer from 2012 to 2014. Emese also worked as a freelance software developer from 2011 to 2012, and was employed at Instantweb Ltd. as a Technical Project Coordinator, Software Developer, and Quality Manager from 2003 to 2011. Emese started their career as a freelance translator from 2000 to 2011 and also worked at Hungax Ltd. as a Technical Writer and Project Manager from 2001 to 2003. Emese began their professional journey as an intern at the Technical University of Budapest in 1996.

Emese Ban attended Lycée Francais de Budapest from 1981 to 1995, where they obtained a Bac S degree in Physique-chimie.
In 1996 to 1998, Emese Ban studied at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, earning a DUT degree in Information Technology.
From 2003 to 2006, Emese Ban enrolled in Budapest University of Technology and Economics again, this time completing a BA degree in Vocational High School and Secondary Business/Vocational-Industrial/Occupational Diploma Program.
Starting in 2016 until 2023, Emese Ban pursued their BSc (Honours) degree in Natural Sciences (Physics) from The Open University.
In addition to their formal education, Emese Ban has also acquired several certifications. In August 2015, they obtained the BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Emese also became a Certified Scrum Master in July 2015 through Scrum Alliance. Furthermore, they obtained the following certifications: IBM Certified Specialist - AIX System Administration in October 1999, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (Windows NT 4.0) in June 1999, Microsoft Certified Professional (Windows NT 4.0) in May 1999, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer in November 2018 through The Linux Foundation, New Relic Certified Performance Pro in October 2018 from New Relic University, and Certified Scrum Product Owner in April 2017 through Scrum Alliance.
