Francois Ruel completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from École de technologie supérieure between 1998 and 2002. Francois then pursued further education at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, where they obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from 2007 to 2012. Additionally, they completed a short-term program in Energy Efficiency at the same university from 2010 to 2011, earning a certification in the field.
