Francois Ruel has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple companies and roles. Francois is currently working as the Director of Back-End Technologies at Hulix Conseil inc. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Innovation and President at the same company. In 2020, they became the Chief Technology Officer at DrillDocs. In 2014, Francois worked as the President of Hulix inc. Francois also held the position of Chief Data Acquisition Officer at Cloud Body Corporation, where they focused on utilizing wearable and connected device data for personalized healthcare insights. Francois co-owned M2M Lab from 2011 to 2021. Francois also worked as a Consultant and System Engineer at Chevron, where they specialized in data logging and cybersecurity for deep-water exploration projects. Additionally, they co-owned Logistik, a sport timing operator utilizing RFID technology. Earlier in their career, Francois was an Energy Project Manager at Cascades, where they developed an energy management system, and an Automation Project Manager, overseeing the development and integration of automated systems for pulp and paper plants. Overall, Francois has a strong background in technology, innovation, and project management.

Francois Ruel completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from École de technologie supérieure between 1998 and 2002. Francois then pursued further education at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, where they obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from 2007 to 2012. Additionally, they completed a short-term program in Energy Efficiency at the same university from 2010 to 2011, earning a certification in the field.
