Dawn Barnes is a Research Fellow at Climatebase since August 2024, focusing on climate technology education and product development. Previously, Dawn held roles as Scientist I and Scientist II at Engine Biosciences from July 2021 to April 2024, where expertise in targeted therapeutics for cancer and biomarker identification was developed. Research experience includes a post-doctoral fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine (August 2016 - July 2021) targeting acute myeloid leukemia, along with a graduate research assistant role at Emory University from June 2011 to July 2016, which included teaching fellow responsibilities. Earlier positions include research specialist at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix and various roles in educational capacities, including teaching assistantships at Arizona State University. Dawn earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in Honors Cellular & Molecular Biology and Biochemistry & Molecular Biophysics from the University of Arizona.
