Shoon S. Oo is an experienced professional in the field of energy and climate change, currently serving as Associate Director for Southeast Asia at ClimateWorks Foundation since April 2023. Prior experience includes consulting roles focusing on climate change initiatives with the International Rescue Committee, where Shoon led the Asia regional go green initiative, and at the ASEAN Centre for Energy, where strategic roadmaps for renewable energy were developed. Shoon held positions as Regional Energy Technical Advisor at WWF, and as Head of Climate and Energy at WWF Myanmar, while also gaining experience at the Ministry of Energy in Myanmar. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Energy and Environmental Management from Europa-Universität Flensburg and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. Shoon has participated in additional educational programs at Harvard University and UC Berkeley.
