Ngonidzashe Chirinda (Ph.D) is a Professor of Sustainable Tropical Agriculture at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University since April 2020, focusing on resource mobilization for research and development, capacity building, and climate change mitigation. In addition to this role, Ngonidzashe serves on the Technical Working Group for Agri-food Criteria at the Climate Bonds Initiative and as a Climate Change Mitigation Panel Member for the UN Environment Programme. Previously, Ngonidzashe was an IPCC Lead Author and a Soil and Climate Change Scientist at CIAT, overseeing greenhouse gas research and laboratory operations. Academic contributions extend to postdoctoral research at Aarhus University and a Ph.D. from the University of Copenhagen. Ngonidzashe has extensive experience in teaching, mentoring students, and conducting research on sustainable agriculture and climate change impacts.
