Maya Bizri is a distinguished psychiatrist and academic with extensive experience in psycho-oncology and consultation liaison psychiatry. Currently serving as the Founding Director of Psycho-oncology and Director of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry at AUBMC since February 2019, Maya also holds the position of Assistant Professor and Director of Creative Communications Services for the Faculty of Medicine at the American University of Beirut. In parallel, Maya has been a Consultant in global mental health with MedGlobal since October 2022. Prior experience includes completing a Psychosomatic Medicine Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic and a psychiatry residency at AUBMC. Maya Bizri earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the American University of Beirut and a Master of Public Health from Tufts University.
