Paul Staples currently serves as the Group Head of Embedded Banking at ClearBank, while also providing advisory services in BaaS and Embedded Finance to Private Equity and Venture Capital firms. With extensive experience in both operational execution and strategic leadership across various geographies, Paul has held significant roles at HSBC, where responsibilities included enabling the bank's transition to a BaaS provider and advising the executive team on platform business development. In addition to these roles, Paul co-founded Graduates Anonymous to assist graduates in bridging the gap between education and corporate opportunities and is involved in several advisory capacities, including with catsAi and Monite. Paul has also contributed to academia as a guest lecturer at Cambridge Judge Business School, focusing on current trends in finance. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Leeds.
