Lucas Kappel is a seasoned professional in the energy and sustainability sector, currently serving as a Strategist II at Elevate since February 2020, where responsibilities include leading project management for climate and energy plans, mentoring staff, and fostering relationships that advance organizational climate justice goals. Previous roles at Elevate focused on energy assessment and project development for non-profits and community programs. Prior to Elevate, Kappel worked at the Bonneville Environmental Foundation as a Renewable Energy Project Manager, providing development assistance for renewable energy projects and interfacing with various stakeholders. Experience also includes positions at CLEAResult, Smart Energy Design Assistance Center, and the Illinois Solar Energy Association, complemented by a Bachelor of Science degree in Renewable Energy from Illinois State University.
