Verena Lester has a significant amount of experience in the events and conferences industry. Verena started their career at IBC UK Conferences in 1997 as a Conference Assistant and Coordinator, then moved on to become a Senior Organiser from 2000 to 2001. In 2002, they joined Informa Telecoms & Media as a Project Manager, and later took on the role of Conference Manager in 2003. From 2004 to 2011, they served as an Operations Director at Informa Telecoms & Media. Since 2012, Verena has been working at Clarion Events, where they hold the position of Group Operations Director.

Verena Lester attended St Paul's School in Sao Paulo, Brazil from 1982 to 1994. Verena then pursued higher education at the University of Southampton from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics & Accounting.
