Tony Watson has extensive experience in environmental and public protection services, currently serving as the Head of Environment and Public Protection at Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council since May 1998. Key responsibilities include overseeing waste collection, recycling, street cleansing, and regulatory services while providing strategic direction. Previously held roles include Head of Environmental Services and Cleansing and Amenities Manager, focusing on service efficiency and operational management. Additionally, Tony is an elected Centre Councillor for the CIWM North West and has served in leadership roles both locally and nationally for over a decade. Educationally, Tony holds an MBA in Management from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
