Rupert Schmidt is a seasoned civil engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and estimating within the construction industry. Currently serving as a Senior Estimator at Civils2000 (PTY) Ltd. since August 2020, Rupert previously held various roles at Aveng, including Project Manager for significant projects such as the Majuba Rail Optimization Project and Sasol Explosion Barriers, as well as serving as an Estimator and Site Engineer. Additional experience includes a role as Claims Manager at GibConsult South Africa and foundational positions in engineering at Aveng Group. Rupert holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering from the University of Pretoria and has continued professional development through courses on Coursera.
