Karthik Prabhakaran is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in software development and management. Currently serving as a Manager / Lead Software Engineer at CivicPlus since January 2023, Karthik previously held positions as Senior Software Engineer at Harris Computer and Thomson Reuters, where responsibilities included implementing object-oriented designs, championing quality and test-driven development, and mentoring junior team members. Karthik has demonstrated expertise in developing scalable distributed multi-tiered systems, providing technical leadership, and improving development quality across several organizations, including Flexible Plan Investments, WD, Plexus Corp., and HTC Global Services. Karthik holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from SRM IST Chennai and completed a Leadership Development Program at The Forem.
