Stephanie Massawa has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting roles. Stephanie is currently the Director of Finance at Civic News Company since November 2023. Previously, they worked as an Accounting Manager at the same company from March 2021 to January 2024. Prior to that, Stephanie worked as a Financial Controller at Curry One from March 2015 to August 2019, where they were responsible for supervising financial operations and strategy. Stephanie also has experience as an International Budget and Business Manager at Coventry University from August 2012 to February 2015, where they oversaw regional budget management and built relationships with various stakeholders. Stephanie was also the Finance and Administration Manager at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) from June 2011 to July 2012, and an Accountant at GlaxoSmithKline from September 2010 to May 2011.

Stephanie Massawa holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Finance, General from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Business Writing from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Advanced Microsoft Excel and Tableau from 365 Data Science, and Professional Part 1 from ACCA in 2006.
