Chris is a scientific software developer at City Science. He joined from the University of York where he was completing his PhD on laser-driven particle acceleration in the Fusion Centre for Doctoral Training. Although making electrons travel very fast was highly enjoyable, Chris is now turning his skills to a more pressing need, decarbonisation of transport and energy systems. Outside of work Chris is a keen outdoors enthusiast, spending his weekends getting cold and damp climbing mountains and crags all around the UK.
