Prathima Kathiresan has extensive experience in educational leadership and operations, currently serving as the Managing Director of People Operations at City Teaching Alliance since August 2013, where prior roles included Senior Director and Director of Selection and Admissions. Previously, Prathima worked at the District of Columbia Public Schools as a Science Teacher, focusing on Chemistry and Biology for high school students. Additional roles include Teacher Selector Ambassador for Teach Plus, Teaching Policy Fellow at TNTP, and various fellowship positions within the U.S. Department of Education and Leadership for Educational Equity. Prathima holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from American University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Georgia.
