Jason Winger is an accomplished public safety professional with extensive experience in law enforcement and emergency management. Currently serving as the Chairman and Commissioner of the Yolo County Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Commission since October 2020, Jason has held multiple roles with the City of West Sacramento since 1994, including Police Lieutenant and Operations/Patrol Manager for the BSC Yolo County Bomb Squad. Notable responsibilities encompass overseeing traffic management, special events, and public safety programs, as well as training in mass violence incidents. In addition, Jason contributes as a Board Member and Instructor for the Incidents of Mass Violence Response Group and serves as an adjunct instructor at American River College. Jason's educational background includes a Master's degree in International Security Studies from the University of Arizona and a BS in Emergency Services Management from Union Institute & University.
