Joseph Dease is a Police Lieutenant at the City of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, since August 2002, where responsibilities include supervising patrol officers, reviewing reports, organizing daily assignments, and ensuring compliance with department policies. Additionally, Joseph served as an Adjunct Instructor at The University of Alabama at Birmingham from August 2012 to August 2021, overseeing course curriculum, student instruction, evaluation, and budgeting for the UAB Trial Team. Joseph holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Samford University obtained between 2009 and 2012, a Bachelor's degree in Legal Affairs, Criminal Justice, and Political Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham completed in December 2008, and further studies in Criminal Justice, Legal Affairs, and History at the same institution from 2003 to 2007.
