Demarcus Marshall, Ph.D., is an accomplished academic and public service professional with extensive experience in both educational and governmental roles. Currently serving as a Part-Time Faculty member in the MPA Program at Valdosta State University since June 2019, Demarcus has also held various positions within the City of Valdosta, including Facilities Manager, Public Works Superintendent, and Traffic Signal Technician since October 2000. Additionally, Demarcus serves as the County Commissioner for Super District 4 with the Lowndes County Board of Commissioners since January 2013. Previous positions include Adjunct Professor at Georgia Military College and Valdosta State University, and CEO of D.A. Marshall & Associates. Demarcus has a strong military background, having served in the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, a Master of Public Administration, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy and Administration, all from Valdosta State University and Walden University.
