Alyssa Jones Wood is a dedicated professional in sustainability and environmental planning, currently serving as the Sustainability Coordinator for the City of Tumwater since May 2022. Previously, Alyssa held positions as the Sustainability & Resiliency Officer and Green Initiatives Coordinator for the City of Hallandale Beach from 2018 to April 2022. Earlier in Alyssa's career, experience included working as a Regional Planner at the South Florida Regional Planning Council and as a Research Assistant at the Florida Center for Environmental Studies. Alyssa began their career as the Garden & Kitchen Coordinator and VISTA Systems Developer for El Sol, Jupiter's Neighborhood Resource Center. Alyssa's academic background includes a Master of Science in Geosciences: Human-Environment Sustainability from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from Florida Atlantic University Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College.
