Gene Putman

Gene Putman has over four decades of experience in transportation and emergency management, currently serving as the Transportation Manager and Emergency Management Manager for the City of Thornton since 1986. Notable contributions include chairing the Temporary Traffic Control Technical Committee of NCUTCD, initiating the Emergency Management T-Alert for Thornton, and acting as a commentator for the FasTracks North Metro EIS. Previously, Gene Putman worked as the Transportation and Emergency Management Manager and City Engineer for the City of Broomfield from May 1980 to September 1986. Educational qualifications include a B.S. in Civil Engineering with a focus on Civil Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Colorado Denver, completed in 1976, and earlier studies at the University of New Mexico from 1968 to 1970.
