Jay Nelson currently serves as the Chief of Staff for the President of the Board of Aldermen in the City of St. Louis since December 2022. Prior to this role, Jay was the Boards and Commissions Liaison and Custodian of Records for St. Louis County from January 2020 to December 2022, facilitating collaboration among county boards and commissions. From January 2017 to December 2019, Jay held the position of Director of Community Affairs for State Senator Jamilah Nasheed, where responsibilities included organizing events and enhancing community visibility. Jay's earlier experience includes a role as Senior Consultant at BML Consulting LLC and a Department Manager at Barnes & Noble, Inc. Jay is an alumnus of Missouri College.
