Sean VanGordon currently serves as the Mayor of Springfield, Oregon, since January 2021, and holds the position of Director of Core Analytics & Forecasting at Optum since December 2021. Prior to these roles, Sean gained extensive experience at UnitedHealth Group from 2013 to December 2021, where positions included Director of Workforce Planning & Management, Associate Director of Business Process Analysis, and Industrial Engineering Manager. Sean's career began at UPS, where responsibilities spanned from Industrial Engineering Supervisor to operations roles from 1998 to 2013. Sean earned a Master of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Political Science from the University of Oregon.
