Kurt Knappen currently serves as the Oncology Territory Manager for the Hematology Division at Takeda Oncology since October 2021. In addition to this role, Kurt is the President of the Shawnee City Council and a Ward 3 City Councilman since January 2020. Previously, Kurt worked as a District Sales Manager for Genentech’s Influenza Sales Team from January 2021 to October 2021, and held various positions at Novo Nordisk from November 2010 to January 2021, including District Business Manager and Diabetes Care Specialist III. Kurt's earlier experience includes a District Sales Manager role at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, focusing on the Kansas City and Missouri Districts in the Neuroscience and Diabetes Divisions, and positions in sales and management training development. Kurt holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a focus on Public Relations from The University of Kansas, earned between 1993 and 1997.
