Charles Lippert was elected to serve as a member of Sharonville City Council at Large with a term commencing in January, 2016. This is Charles’ first elected position. In this role, Charles serves on both the Law & Public Safety Committee and the Community Services Committee. The Law & Public Safety Committee deals with issues related to the police and fire departments as well as legal issues encountered by the City of Sharonville. The Community Services Committee deals with issues relating to the Sharonville Convention Center, Parks & Recreation Department, and Public Works Department.
Charles was born and raised in Sharonville, graduating from Princeton High School in 1993. He then attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he achieved degrees in English Literature and Mass Communications. Following a number of years in the workforce, Charles attended law school at the Salmon P. Chase College of Law. There he graduated magna cum laude near the top of his class, passing Ohio's bar exam by scoring in the 100th percentile on the MBE section. Initially working as a criminal defense attorney for a few years, Charles was able to pursue a long-time goal by joining the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office in 2012. This allowed him to follow in the footsteps of both his father, G. Mitchel Lippert, and his maternal grandfather, C. Watson Hover. As an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Charles has represented the State of Ohio in cases ranging from traffic citations all the way to murder charges.
Charles and wife Jamie (née Yahn) live within sight of the Sharonville Community Center where they raise two sons, Logan and Hunter. They enjoy taking walks around Sharonville (especially Sharon Woods), playing co-ed volleyball, and attending the sports activities of the two boys. Logan loves running cross country and Hunter is an avid soccer player.
