Brandon Phipps has extensive experience in community and economic development. Brandon is currently the Community & Economic Development Director for the City of Sausalito, a position they began in October 2022. Previously, they worked as an Economic Development Specialist for the City of Daly City from October 2019 to October 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at Kosmont Companies, including Vice President from September 2016 to January 2018 and Project Analyst from January 2014 to September 2016. Mr. Phipps also gained experience as a Transit Oriented Development & Economic Development Intern at SAJE - Strategic Actions for a Just Economy from August 2012 to December 2013.
Brandon Phipps completed their education with a Master of Science degree in Local Economic Development from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Policy, Planning, and Development with an emphasis on Sustainable Urban Planning, as well as Philosophy, from the University of Southern California in 2013. In addition, they briefly studied at Institut catholique de Paris and Université Paris-Sorbonne in 2012, and attended University of California, Berkeley for a short duration in 2010. Brandon completed their high school education at Lick-Wilmerding High School, where they obtained a High School Diploma in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies in 2009.
