Paul Eakins is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in public affairs and journalism. Currently serving as the Public Affairs Information Officer for the City of Santa Ana since November 2019, Eakins manages media relations and communications. Prior roles include Public Information Officer at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office and Managing Editor at the Los Angeles Business Journal. Eakins has also held various editorial positions at the Orange County Register, Press-Telegram, North County Times, and Topeka Capital-Journal, focusing on community news, government, and politics. Eakins holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from The University of Kansas.
