Akanksha C. is an experienced urban planner and designer with a diverse background in community development and planning. Currently serving as an Associate Planner for the City of San Carlos since January 2023, Akanksha supports long-range planning initiatives within the Advance Planning Division. Prior to this, Akanksha worked as a Senior Planner at Gladki Planning Associates from January 2020 to December 2022, coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and managing planning and policy studies. Additional roles include Senior Planner at Corbett Land Strategies, Urban Designer at Urban Strategies Inc., and Associate Planner at Skeo Solutions, where Akanksha focused on equitable development and environmental justice. Earlier career experiences include work as a Research Associate at EcoDistricts, Urban Planner (GIS specialist) at the Delhi Development Authority, and roles at Mass N Void Design Consultants and B.M. Sharma and Associates. Akanksha holds a Master of Urban Design in Community and Regional Planning from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
