Katie Gerbes, AICP, is a seasoned planning professional with a diverse background in community planning, sustainability initiatives, and academic instruction. Currently serving as the Comprehensive Planning Manager at the City of Rockville since September 2022, Katie previously held the position of Manager of University Projects at Margrave Strategies, where responsibilities included serving as the primary contact for clients such as the University of Maryland, College Park and Bowie State University. With experience as a lecturer at the University of Maryland and a City Planner in Hyattsville, Katie has led significant projects including community sustainability plans, development reviews, and public engagement efforts. Katie holds a Master of Community Planning and a BA in Sociology, enhancing a strong foundation for expertise in their field.
