Joseph J. D'Onofrio, Jr. is an experienced legal professional with a distinguished career in public prosecution and private practice. Currently serving as Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney in the City of Richmond since August 2017, D'Onofrio previously held similar positions at Louisa County Commonwealth's Attorneys' Office and Morris County Prosecutor's Office, where responsibilities included leading the Trial Division and managing felony prosecutions. Early in the career, D'Onofrio worked as an Associate Attorney at Laddey, Clark & Ryan, LLP, and as a Legal Assistant at Skadden Arps while pursuing a Juris Doctor degree at Widener University School of Law. D'Onofrio earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Villanova University.
