Juliet Bachtel is an experienced long-range planner at the City of Hillsboro since September 2022, previously serving as an environmental scientist at Catalyst Environmental Solutions Corporation from October 2019 to September 2022. Earlier roles include positions as a naturalist at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and a GIS and conservation intern at Los Padres ForestWatch. Juliet's background also includes internships at UC Santa Barbara, the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis, and Geo-Logic Associates, Inc. Additionally, Juliet has a strong foundation in journalism as a features editor and news reporter for The Daily Nexus, winning multiple awards for outstanding writing. Juliet holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara.
