Laura Parsons, P.E., serves as a Civil Engineer III and Interim City Engineer at the City of Port Townsend since July 2017, where responsibilities include managing design and construction for capital improvement projects, notably the Discovery Road Bikeway and Sidewalks Project. Previously, Laura held the position of Senior Civil Engineer at KOA Corporation from January 2014 to July 2016, co-managing a bikeway design team and overseeing various aspects of client engagement and project development. Laura's prior experience includes two tenures as Associate City Engineer at the City of Fort Bragg and roles in public works, encompassing project plan preparation and management of federally-funded infrastructure projects. Educational qualifications include a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.A. in Community Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
