Sarah Yoon is an experienced planner and historic preservation officer currently serving the City of Palm Springs since October 2022. Previously, Sarah worked for the City of Aspen for five years as a Historic Preservation Planner and Planner II. Earlier experience includes a graduate internship at the Getty Conservation Institute focusing on the Conserving Modern Architecture Initiative, and an internship at Prudon & Partners, where research and design for historical preservation projects were conducted. Sarah has also contributed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Columbia University and Korea University, where architectural design and conservation courses were taught. Educational qualifications comprise a Master’s Degree in Historic Preservation and Conservation from Columbia University and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from Korea University, alongside a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Design/Architecture from the University of Colorado Boulder.
