Denise Goolsby currently serves as the Office of Neighborhoods Manager for the City of Palm Springs, where responsibilities include acting as a liaison for over 50 neighborhood groups and co-editing the monthly employee newsletter, "City Beat." Prior to this role, Denise worked as a columnist for Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK, focusing on history and profiles, and as a reporter for The Desert Sun, covering breaking news and military affairs while also writing columns on local World War II veterans and Coachella Valley history. Denise's background includes owning and operating the Bee Charmer Inn, managing all aspects of the hotel and engaging in community outreach. Denise holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education/Athletic Training from California State University, Fullerton, and an Associate degree in the same field from Pasadena City College.
