Paulina Alvarez

Community Life & Culture Officer at City of Ontario

Paulina Alvarez currently serves as the Community Life & Culture Officer for the City of Ontario since June 2020 and holds the position of Assistant Director of Archives and Special Initiatives at The Charles White Archives since September 2019. Previously, Paulina worked at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) from April 2016 to September 2019 as a Community Engagement Assistant, where responsibilities included fostering relationships with community stakeholders and overseeing the logistics for a satellite gallery at Charles White Elementary School. Experience also includes roles at Mills College Art Museum, where Paulina worked as a Gallery, Digitizing, Collection Assistant from August 2012 to December 2015, a Co-Curator for an exhibition on biblical themes, and as a Co-Curator for an exhibition highlighting contemporary drawing practices at Niles Gallery. Additional experience consists of an internship at LACMA’s Registrar's Office focused on collections management. Paulina Alvarez is pursuing a Master of Arts in Arts Management at Claremont Graduate University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Political, Legal, Economic Analysis from Mills College.
