Erick Zinser has served in law enforcement since 1991, beginning at the Mackinac Island Police Department before joining the City of Novi, Michigan, in 1998. Currently the Director of Public Safety/Chief of Police, Erick was promoted to Assistant Chief of Police in October 2015 after previously attaining the ranks of Lieutenant and Sergeant. Erick holds a Masters degree in Technology Studies with a concentration in Homeland Security from Eastern Michigan University, and a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University. Additionally, Erick is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Session 274.
