Josh Fryday is the Chief Service Officer at California Volunteers, Office of the Governor since September 2019 and has served as a City Council Member in Novato since November 2015. Previous roles include President of Golden State Opportunity from August 2016 to August 2019, Chief Operating Officer at NextGen Climate from 2013 to June 2016, and service in the US Navy's JAG Corps from 2009 to 2013. Additional experience includes legal clerk positions at the U.S. Department of Justice and the San Francisco District Attorney's Office in 2008, as well as serving as Northern California Director for John Edwards for President from 2006 to 2008 and Chief Operations Officer at DCS Congressional from 2004 to 2005. Josh Fryday holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Philosophy from the same institution.
