The Public Safety team in the City of Newport Beach is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residents and visitors. The City Attorney provides legal support and risk management, the Fire Chief oversees fire prevention and emergency medical services, the Police Chief manages law enforcement and public order, and Ocean Lifeguards ensure safety along the beaches and in the water. Together, they coordinate to address public safety challenges and respond effectively to emergencies in the community.
