Jay Hodny is an experienced GIS Technician currently supporting the City of Newark, Delaware, since October 2016, focusing on the Esri ArcGIS platform within the Public Works and Water Resources department. Additionally, Jay served as an Adjunct Instructor at Delaware Technical Community College from January 2018 to December 2021, teaching key courses in the Geographic Information Systems Technology program. Previous roles include GIS Technician for Kent County Levy Court and Senior Project Manager at Amplified Geochemical Imaging, LLC., as well as W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc. Underpinning this practical experience is a strong academic background with a Master's and PhD in Geography specializing in Climatology from the University of Delaware, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Geography from the University of North Dakota.
