Shahrzad Rizvi, MPA, CGFO, currently serves as the Budget Officer for the City of Murphy, TX, since August 2020, overseeing a budget process of $55.6 million across 19 funds. Previous experience includes roles as a Senior Budget and Policy Analyst for Dallas County, managing a $272.1 million operating budget for various court systems, and as a Capital Budget Analyst for the State of Maryland, responsible for over $517 million in capital improvement appropriations. Shahrzad Rizvi has also worked with the Sunlight Foundation as a Local Policy Fellow and held multiple positions at Dallas County focusing on budgetary management and fiscal health reporting. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences from Michigan Technological University.
