Phil Gilbert has extensive experience in military operations and education, serving in various capacities within the Texas Army National Guard since August 2003, including roles as Operations Officer and Company Commander. Gilbert's military service includes operational leadership positions and liaison responsibilities, with deployments focused on mission planning and personnel management. In the educational sector, Gilbert has taught multiple grade levels and subjects, working for several school districts as an elementary school teacher and early childhood interventionist. Gilbert holds a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Science in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Tech University. Currently, Gilbert is employed by the City of Murphy, Texas, and has previously worked for the City of Plano and Richardson ISD.
