Peter Bennett

Transportation Planner at City of Minneapolis

Peter Bennett is an experienced transportation planner, currently serving in the City of Minneapolis since December 2022. Previously, Peter worked as a Transportation Specialist for the City of San José, where notable contributions included managing the Better Bikeways project and overseeing the Bicycle Parking program. Additional experience includes roles as a researcher for the World Resources Institute, focusing on public bicycle sharing systems, and as a GIS Analyst for RIDE New Orleans, where transit mapping and service calculations were key responsibilities. Peter's academic background includes a Master’s Degree in Transportation and Land Use Planning from the University of New Orleans and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Environmental Science from Lawrence University.
